Nice place!!...good old 'Merican Breakfast...lots of hot coffee even if you have to go get it yourself...They let you stick around...literally!! the little outside tables were in desperate need of a hosing from months of spilling those little syrup containers and sticky kid fingers but overall I thought it was a good spot...fresh squeezed OJ, great hash browns and real veggies in the omeltes...waffle was a bit disappointing, thin and cardboardy but I had ordered poached eggs and they were PERFECT ...they offer WiFi (pw= benedict) but it's not always up...hard working if somewhat clueless staff otherwise I'd give it a solid FIVE...picked it from other Yelpers for a late breakfast meeting with a SF friend...good call!!
for a party of two, we split three dishes. one was very good, others were so so.
eggs benedict florentine: good
2 buttermilk pancakes: good when hot then it gets cold and lifeless.
oatmeal: very plain. i'm used to cantonese style oatmeal.
fresh squeezed oj: resembled tropicana oj. a bit artificial in color and taste.
i'd go back for eggs benedict.

This place is tasty tasty tasty!!
The orange juice is fresh-squeezed and absolutely brilliant. Plus, if you don't believe it's fresh-squeezed you can see the juicer right there on the counter. I also like how you can watch the cooks fry your pancakes and eggs -- no surprises about where your food comes from :]
The pancakes are HUGE and DELICIOUS! My favorite are the banana pancakes (like the Jack Johnson song!) The omelets are also very good.
If you like traditional breakfast food (eggs, potatos, waffles, sausage, etc) this is THE PLACE!
Only con is: the place is quite petite. Only like... 7 (???) tables in there. I've been twice and both times I went around 9:00 - 10:00 and got the last table (talk about LUCK right!?)
DELISH!
I have not been here for year. They have improve a lot with more attractive menus. I love their coffee which is GREAT!!
I order the All American Favorite Breakfast, and the portion is great with reasonable price.
The only thing I want to comment is my toast is ... over toast on 1 side, but it was fine on the the side. May be the toaster was not working perfect.... I guess.
Orange juice is a bit over price for the large cup, that cause $3.50 if I compare to other restaurant on the fresh squeezed orange juice.
Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch!

Summary: Good place for brunch. Also serves lunch.
A friend and I went here on the recommendation of Yelp reviews. Friend had the Mexican omelet and was very happy with it. I had the Big Mamma scramble with sausage, onions, and peppers. The sausage was very tasty and made the scramble work. Both of our portions were huge (come hungry) and the price was fairly inexpensive at $11 all inclusive.
The dishes come with a choice of hash browns or country potatoes. I ordered the country potatoes but they looked like big hash browns to me.
The OJ is fresh squeezed and a good-sized portion even in the small. The coffee is a nice strong but not over the top brew.
You can sit outside or inside. It was pleasant to enjoy the Summer outdoors while eating.
Negatives: The ketchup is watered down Heinz :( The jam is Kraft. The service is a bit slow. They never came back to ask if we wanted more coffee (or anything). Instead they gave us the bill.
Overall, good food, fair service. Great location. Worth checking out.

I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews and I love the name. It looked promising when we walked in, all the tables were full so clearly people go here.
I thought the menu was great - it had all the breakfast choices you like at very fair prices.
I ordered the eggs benedict which is my favorite breakfast option and the boyfriend ordered the breakfast sandwich which was cheese and egg on bread. Both came with hash browns.
Here are the issues I had with the place-
One was the wait for the food. It took longer than normal to receive our breakfast. I usually experience breakfast places to serve food faster. But this place took a long time.
The second issue was the food itself. It was the eggs on both of our dishes. While mine is supposed to be a little runny, my egg was a lot runny. It would have been perfect if the egg had been poached a little longer.
Same for the boyfriend's sandwich. The egg was so runny, it made the sandwich super soggy. For both of us, the runny egg dominated the taste of the meal. The hollendaise sauce on my dish wasn't flavorful enough so all I tasted was egg.
I thought the hashbrowns were okay. They were hot, crispy and a decent amount. I just didn't think they were seasoned at all so I had to do a few shakes of the salt and pepper.
The prices were great - it was $18 with tip for the both of us. I'd like to come back and try this place again but so far it's not going on my list of go-to breakfast places.
I tried A Good Morning for brunch over the weekend based on Yelp reviews. I had the french toast special with scrambled egg, crispy bacon and orange juice. My companion ordered the corned beef and hash, eggs over easy, diced potatoes and coffee. Everything tasted good! My only service issues; we were asked to sign-in when two tables were empty and waiter was slow to bring 1st round of beverages (admittedly minimal). Otherwise, food quality and presentation was very good, as were the prices. It was very busy and the quality of the food/drink has made this restaurant very popular with the locals. I certainly recommend it!
My husband and walked over here for breakfast this morning... it was wonderful. I got the chicken apple sausage scramble and he had one of the omelettes -- we were both happy with our choices. My country style potatoes were a little oily, but they were mighty tasty with a bit of zing to them (paprika?) Service was a bit slow, but steady... the 2 waitresses were running around trying to make all the customers happy. We had plenty of coffee refills.
A Good Morning is a lovely addition to the neighborhood... I've been away for a couple years so it's a vast improvement over the dark little coffee place it used to be (Java City, was it?) In any case, we hope A Good Morning is around for awhile.
This is our regular b'fast place - we love it! It's a small mom/pop local stop that's often packed out but it's very laid back, clean and pleasant. The food has always been consistently good and the staff is very friendly. If you're looking for a home style breakfast this is the place to go.

i finally went on Sunday, around 11:30 am, got outdoor seating, two tables avail outside and inside. Was brought menus immediately, got our fresh squeezed oj juices quickly but the coffee took a while. Ordered the Spanish scramble and Eggs Florentine, with 2 juices and a coffee, $22. My hashbrowns were nice and crisp. For the spanish scramble, they ran out of salsa. Food was good, just enough, not huge. The service was a bit slow but he was very friendly, I think he had to cover all the tables by himself.
Dog friendly outside and a perfect day to sit outside and eat breakfast.

Having driven by a few times, we've been wanting to try it out on a weekend. On Sunday, we went in around 8:30am and got a table inside fairly easily. It was already filling up though because there was only one available table inside, and a handful of available ones outside.
The selection of breakfast is pretty good, including many of the usual American breakfast items. We ordered an two omelet dishes and pancakes (Kids Meal). The portions are large, the quality of the ingredients fresh, and they were very tasty. My husband did note that his omelet had too much cream cheese but I really enjoyed mine. The young male waiter did mess up our Kids Meal order, but they corrected it promptly, and offered extra food. As the morning got later, it became very crowded and people had to wait for tables, but most people seemed to be enjoying their dishes.
We'll be going back again.
We came to the mall for Panini - which was closed for a month, it turned out - and ended up hitting this place instead. The food is good, the staff is nice, etc, etc...Totally acceptable breakfast/lunch option.

Not sure what Jesse S.' problem is with this place, but upon looking at his reviews. 2 of his first 10 reviews he gave 5 stars to was Starbucks and In-n-out. Nuff said.
Negative Nancy really needs to look himself in the mirror and wonder why people don't help him. I mean, c'mon dude. Every place you visited has totally shunned you. Hmmmm....wonder why???
Ok enough of Jesse (really dude, lighten up!). This place is a small hole in the wall breakfast joint. It has about a half dozen tables (give or take) inside and about the same outside.
You need to get here early on a weekend, otherwise you will be s.o.l. and will be waiting a long time. I agree with other people, that this place is unorganized.
The food itself is pretty darn tasty, though. I usually get the a standard eggs & bacon "American" breakfast and like my eggs medium, which they actually cook almost perfect (a little on the hard sometimes).
*** LOL at Negative Nancy's (Jesse) reply to me. High standards?...pffft. You have a lot of negative experiences because you cause them. Again, look in the mirror, Nancy. You will see why people treat you bad.
Do everyone in Mtn. View a favor and eat at home. ***

Kick-start your day. It's called A Good Morning for a reason.
Everything you'd want in a breakfast cafe, nothing more.
"Open-air" cafe, casual service and a menu covering all the bases - with a california twist...
Egg sandwich w/bacon and avocado? You got it.
Vitamin C boost? Juicy and delish fresh squeezed o.j.
Caffeine fiend? Forget coffee, get a couple shots (of espresso).
I couldn't ask for more in a place as I ease my way into the day.
The food is good solid breakfast fare with just enough of a California twist: the menu is just right. Eggs Benedict is to die for.
The location is convenient, and they've done it up just right. The patio is about as pleasant as you can ask for.
But more than anything, I associate this place with lazy Saturday mornings spent with my favorite person in the whole wide world, so how can I complain?
I visited this cafe for a weekday lunch. The food was absolutely fantastic. We had cheeseburgers - they were traditional and full of flavor. I recommend the side salad rather than chips. The chips are scrawny and not worth the calories!!
I think the breakfast menu is served all day with omelettes going out to many tables.
Remembering this cafe is in a neighborhood shopping strip, there aren't many tables and the service is rather casual - but what do you expect for the setting?

Disappointing! I had breakfast at A Good Morning on a recent Saturday and was thoroughly disappointed by the food and underwhelmed by the service.
There was a small table available when we walked in and when none of the staff took an interest when we were standing there, I asked if we could take the little table. The woman at the counter said, "If you want it..." Otherwise, the service was basically just inattentive--it takes a long time to get water, etc.
We ordered a donut in addition to buttermilk pancakes and a bacon-avocado omelet. My boyfriend bit into the donut, made a face and described it as, "The healthiest tasting donut I've ever had." The pancakes were basically fine, but the omelet, for which I had very high hopes was ruined--by American cheese! Ew ew ew. American cheese was *not* listed in the menu as the cheese included in this omelet and the waiter didn't offer a choice of cheeses other than American. Bacon and avocado with eggs should be a transcendent breakfast, but in this case, the cheese ruined everything and the taste was plastic.
The coffee we had here was fine and I was glad for the fresh orange juice.
CLUELESS SERVERS!!!
I was annoyed within 5 minutes of walking in to this place.
It was crowded but 2 tables finally opened up at the same time--a two person table and a 4 person table. The party of two was in front of us on the list, but when the waitress sat them, she put them at the table for 4! This left us waiting for another 20 minutes. While I waited, I had time to observe the terrible service. I've never seen breakfast waitstaff move so slowly. They were like sloths, just meandering around. Finally, our irritation got the best of us, and we left and went to Hobies, which had hustle, bustle service as you would expect in a breakfast joint.

I actually really like this place - A LOT. In fact it's the ONLY place I like to get breakfast. I can't usually stand eggs (don't know what it is... too harsh?) but at this place they're amazing! I could eat 4-5 servings of them. My wife tells me it's because they use butter and it smooths them out. Whatever - they're great.
Unfortunately I'm knocking this down from the 4 stars I would have given it based on a different criteria. When I rate a place I take everything into consideration. My worst pet peeve is seeing a business *try* to require a minimum on credit card transactions. I say "Try" because it's against all credit card company's policies for merchants to do this. You can actually report them for violating the terms - something I have already taken the time to do. I've submitted a picture of their register with the little sign to the right of it so you can see what I'm talking about.
No, I don't own a small business so I don't have an idea actually of how much money actually goes to the credit card companies for each transaction. I don't care though. I'm held to terms of service when I sign something and if you're a merchant accepting credit cards and you CAN READ then you would know that the service agreement you signed to accept ANY major credit card PROHIBITS minimum AND maximum charge amounts, as well as requiring a secondary form of ID.
I'm giving this place TWO (2) stars because the food is still great (though the service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are - sometimes they're pretty "fake" friendly and I can't stand that - I'd rather you just be shitty to me so we know up front how it's going to be). I'm pretty disgusted at how ignorant they are with the minimum charge requirement. If you don't like the terms of the agreement DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. What's that? A large portion of your business comes from credit card transactions and you'd suffer if you didn't accept them??? Hmm... Do you see the hypocritical methodology here?
I'm also voting that they don't accept credit cards on the extended survey since in my opinion you either take them or you don't... if there's any condition that you'd refuse my credit card, then you DON'T TAKE THEM - PERIOD.
**Update***: Owner writes me: "The credit companies continue to take away literally half of what i make. Heritage Bank told me to put up a sign because i desperately don't want to go out of business. I know you as a regular customer and i am actually shocked that you would report me."
Interesting that you reach out to your customers and read reviews for improvement on Yelp - but equally as interesting that you choose to overstep normalcy and explain to me that you know who I am. You've essentially alienated me from feeling the last bit of welcoming I feel when I still come into your place. I knew you knew who I was (this review + recognizing me when I come in) but had hoped that wouldn't affect how you treat me when I'm patronizing your business. It does and frankly I'm quite tired of it.
Don't give me your sob story about how the credit companies take 1/2 of what you make. How in gods name is this donut shop taking AMERICAN EXPRESS??? http://www.yelp.com/bi...
It's part of their business model and realize that in THIS area it makes them more money when they accept credit cards. Also credit card companies take a PERCENTAGE (about 2%) of each transaction. HALF of what you make you say?
If it's so tough, then perhaps you shouldn't accept them. Perhaps you could accept them but offer an incentive for using cash instead - a free regular coffee maybe. Coffee is cheap and I bet many regular patrons would be happy to spend cash instead in exchange for a simple coffee.
I wrote back to the owner and suggested exactly what I said above. It's been close to over a month and I haven't heard back. What is interesting though is she got Yelp to remove the pictures I took of the credit card minimum requirement signs they have at their registers. How unbiased is this site anyway???

My boyfriend brought me here for brunch on our anniversary, and I just love the cute quaintness of this place. The buckwheat pancakes are excellent, and their coffee is good too. This is always a good alternative to Hobee's or Stacks. This is not a good place for large groups though, as the restaurant is rather small.

My parents live close by, and I go to to some of the other restaurants in this plaza, but had never tried this place out for breakfast. It's new, isn't it?
I came in on a Sunday at around 1230 or 1pm. The first thing I notice is that the place is very small, maybe 7 or 8 booths, and a few tables outside for small parties (probably 3 or less), and every one of those tables is occupied. That's fine, I don't really mind waiting a good 15 minutes or so. By the way we are the only people standing and waiting in the restaurant, a few people that came in after us were waiting outside.
10 minutes go by and not one person has greeted us or handed us menus so we have to walk to the back of the restaurant to look for menus. 10 more minutes go by, and after deciding on our order, and putting the menus back where we found them, we tell (who I think was) the cashier (dark haired asian teenager girl with an attitude) that we've been waiting for a good 20 minutes now and no one has even acknowledged our existence. She says something along the lines of, "...uh... There's a waiting list... put your name down and we'll call you... duh!!!!" I added the duh, but she might as well have said it. We then asked the estimated wait time, and she said it'd be about 15 minutes.
After waiting there about 20 minutes already, my friend and I were over it. We did not eat at this restaurant, and because the teenager manning the front was such a beez, we probably won't be, ever. We both just felt like they were understaffed, and the staff that was there, had no sense of urgency or cared much about servicing the customer.
Good things: It's very cheap. The food is decent
Bad things: The service is horrendous. We waited over an hour after being seated for our omelets. The restaurant can only seat about 12 parties so I can't imagine why there was such a long wait. We sparingly received coffee refills and were never offered water.
With all the raving reviews, I may give it another shot, but I'll probably stick with Hobee's down the street.
A Good Morning is my new favorite place to go for breakfast. Having grown up in New York, one of my favorite places to go was to the diner. A Good Morning has really good food, to start. Everything is also very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is very un-pretentious for Los Altos. The crowd is younger than average, and the wait staff are friendly, although service can be a bit slow and sometimes you have to wait a while for a table.
Note that I'm still giving this five stars. I really don't mind if a restaurant is crowded - most of the time that means it's good. In fact, if i'm traveling somewhere and don't have access to Yelp, I'll choose the most crowded-looking restaurant and it's usually really good. If people are willing to wait, chances are what they're waiting for is good.
So, you may have to wait at A Good Morning, but it's totally worth it. The food is amazing. I'm a HUGE fan of the egg sandwiches; they seem like they were flown in from a New York diner. Thus far, A Good Morning's food is most representative of the delicious east coast diner food I miss so much. Flames, etc... may have the kitsch, but the food is lacking. The hashbrowns are really good, too. I will have to try their omelette's at some point, but I like the egg sandwich so much it'll be tough not to. The waffle wasn't my favorite, so I would advise against that if you're a waffle aficionado.
I can't help but think that they'd make a lot more money by expanding. I'm not sure how new A Good Morning is, but they definitely have a lot of positive buzz. This is my new favorite breakfast place, and I suggest you try it!

Do you ever go somewhere & feel like "if they just...." it would be so amazing? That is exactly how I feel about A Good Morning. They are just on the cusp of being great, but falling quickly into mediocrity.
There are so many things about this place that make me happy, but our last experience was really really bad.
My fiancee and I both really only have Sundays off, so we like to get out of the house and enjoy a good breakfast. We happened upon this place 2 weeks ago & decided to go back last Sunday. OOPS!
Not only were they under staffed for the 2nd week in a row, it seemed that they were having a hard time keeping themselves organized. If they were to add 1 more person to their front of house for Sunday breakfast, they would be turning tables like crazy! Because the service was slow, people were waiting for tables while people were waiting to get their check so they could leave. Not good.
I was starving and frustrated. Our service was slow & when I ordered my burger with no mayo and it had a big, gross dollop of mayo on it, I felt like I couldn't even send it back. I was afraid I would never see it again. So I scraped it off and scarfed it down. Dis-gus-ting!!!
When we left we had a nice little debate over whether or not we would go back, and I am still on the fence. However, I loved the food - the healthier alternatives are nice & thank you thank you for not giving me a sticky table and cruddy menu!
But be careful - some of the 'regulars' are a little Twilight Zone-ish. (I won't even get into that one)

Awesome breakfast place in Los Altos with Mountain View prices. The atmosphere is very relaxing and more modern than traditional diners (no greasy chairs and menus). The buttermilk pancakes are really fluffy and the hashbrown crispy. I'd give the food 4* out of 5 and the atmosphere 4.5*.
Service can be a little slow because of the shortage of staff. There is more parking at the back of the mall.
The outdoor seating makes A Good Morning dog-ok. The staff is dog-friendly too.
Overall, I still think that Bill's offers the very best bf, but the Willow Glen location is a little too far to reach regularly.

Great selection of omelets, generous portions, and great fresh squeezed orange juice. The donuts are tasty too. I think this is a great place to go if you want breakfast until 3pm and don't want to go too far out of the neighborhood, but not spectacular by any means. The omelets are good, stuffed with a ton of ingredients, but why so greasy? I'd go here over Denny's but not over Stacks.
I came here based upon the good reviews. I found it to be average. Maybe I should have ordered their pancakes?
I tried the eggs benedict, but it had that mustard-colored "packaged" sauce where the hollandaise is supposed to be. My son's potatoes were a little on the wet side. He liked his omelet, though.
The service was just okay, and I didn't find their coffee very tasty. Prices are decent, but portion sizes aren't great, (I left still hungry), which is why my 2.5 rating did not round up to 3, but rather down to 2.
Service was excellent. Food was awesome. I went to eat with a couple of buddies of mine & everyone enjoyed their meals. I had pancakes and it was better then IHOP pancakes. Going to go back for breakfast for sure.

If you are looking for some great eggs benedicts, this is the place!
Food: I mainly tried the eggs benedicts and they were extremely good
Environment/atmosphere: the place is pretty small so it is good for party of 4 or less.
Service: the service varies, the staff is usually nice but you will feel rushed during busy hours.
Okay, I admit it, I'm a sucker for a waitress with personality. It doesn't take much to engage a customer with some genuine friendly banter and actually talk to them, which is surprising that it doesn't happen more often. The staff here really connected with me.
My sister and I went to A Good Morning today for breakfast and I couldn't have been happier with the service or food. I had the eggs benedict with the hashbrowns. While someone else criticized the hashbrowns for being oily, I had the good sense to ask about the hashbrown and country potatoes before ordering. While the potatoes sounded good (red potatoes with herbs that the way-cool waitress recommended), the awesome waitress said that the hashbrowns would be cooked crispy. How could I pass up the greasy hashbrowns to go with my traitor eggs?
The coffee was great, the place was casual and not too crowded (which I couldn't understand given the reasonable prices, location and quality), the staff was too cool for school, and the food was great (you won't be disappointed with the eggs benedict). I've been looking for a good place around MV and LA to get breakfast and now I've found it.
I will be back.
p.s. - Did I mention how great the waitress was?

I love this place. I visited recently with a friend of mine who lives near there and works for google. Apparently he knew where to take me for breakfast cause it definitely opened my eyes up. The decor was beautiful and the place was very open so it made me feel relaxed eating my eggs benedict. Plus they had wifi access so I was able to check my email for anything important. They even asked for my name and I told the waitress that I wasn't even from around there. Wow what great service! Definitely would go there again!

After a morning run at Rancho San Antonio, we went to A Good Morning for a quick breakfast. It was recommended by a friend and I had no idea any breakfast joint existed in that shopping center. When I got there I was surprised by the outdoor seating and inviting atmosphere. While I waited for my friends to come I ordered a glazed old-fashioned donut which were made that morning. When my friends arrived I ordered a full breakfast of OJ, corn-beef, scrambled eggs, and hashbrowns. We sat outside which is pretty rare in the bay area to find patio seating for breakfast. Food came out pretty fast and the service was great. I'd definitely go back and even recommend it to my friends.

Hankering for some breakfast eats this morning, my boyfriend and I decided to try this place since it was close and heck we were just next door at pho vi hoa last night.
This place is more of a cafe than a restaurant and if they had more space I think this place would get tons of business. There was one person at the cashier, one waitress and so they were short of hands. We ordered a grilled chicken omelette, home style potatoes and an english muffin. They were nice enough to split our order into two dishes! That was a pleasant surprise. The home style potatoes were also prepared differently from other places and were a welcomed surprised. The grilled chicken was very flavorful and peppery just how I liked it. The mushrooms in the omelette soaked up the flavors of the chicken. Since the waitress was so busy, we ended up having to refill our waters on two occasions since I drink tons of water (about 3.5 glasses this time).
This place was cute and I would go again to try the other dishes since the omelette was good. Also I liked the interior, it was quite cute, but small. I felt like I had a healthy meal enough to fill two people or fill one person heftily. It was A Good Morning indeed.

For whatever reason, this particular location has housed a long history of businesses that just didn't make it. But I think they've finally found a winner in "A Good Morning." I certainly hope this business is here to stay!
I'm practically a regular here, and the staff is exceptionally friendly (though often short-handed, what with the popularity of this place, especially on a weekend morn).
I'm a fan of the breakfast fare, from egg dishes such as "Joe's Wife" (which I order sans beef), served with country potatoes to die for (crunchy and slightly spicy, with onions, yum!!) to fruit-laden waffles and pancakes. The first time I had the Eggs Benedict (Florentine, with Spinach), they were perfect - the second time, entirely too much sauce... swimming in it, but great, otherwise, once you you removed some of it...
The coffee is exceptionally good, and they serve all kinds of fancy espresso and specialty drinks (some of them sound a little odd, though).
Definitely worth the wait for a table. Now, if I could only get out of bed earlier in the morning on a weekend, so I could make it more often...

I tried this place out on a Friday morning and ordered a waffle. I wanted to add a healthy spin to it and inquired about adding fresh fruit on top, but to my disappointment they had run out of fresh fruit - even bananas. How can a breakfast place run out of fresh bananas? So, I just ate my plain waffle. The waffle itself wasn't bad, but I would have enjoyed it better with fresh fruit.
I'll try again next time and cross my fingers that they will have fresh fruit then.

Fall 2007 Update:
Some of the food has grown on me... The Burlingame scramble and the Colorado omelette in particular. The Burlingame (chicken apple sausage, mushrooms, onions and Swiss) is pretty good but a little heavy on the cheese. The Colorado (ham, bacon, mushrooms, onions) is probably my favorite so far and I would go back again for this. May brave the Mexican omelette again... I recommend the hashbrowns over the home fries, as the home fries are a little greasy. The toast is hit or miss, sometimes it's actually toasty, other times it's sadly soggy. Unimpressed by the steamed soy milk, but that's probably I'm used to Taiwanese style soymilk.
I'll up my rating to a 3.5. Still lacking that fourth star... service is improving but still a little forgetful at times and food is a matter of choosing carefully. Still, love the ambiance of the place.
Original Review:
Loved the atmosphere. Sure seating is rather limited, but it's cute and quaint. I liked the sliding windows and the fact that the patio seating was well-shaded during the morning.
Wasn't blown away by the food, though. The hash browns were good, a nice mix between crispy and soft. The mexican omelette was a little uninspired and very uneven (I got through 3/4 of the omelette before tasting any chorizo). They also forgot to give me my toast.
Service overall was friendly and earnest but a little spotty - they seemed short-staffed despite having someone manning the cashier/dispensing drinks and two waitresses.
A- for atmosphere, B for food, B- for service. Lots of potential, just needs a little polish and tightening up the execution. Most likely will be back. They take plastic, which is always nice.

I can't imagine that all these 4- and 5-star reviews are about the same terrible place we ate at last weekend.
First, the ambiance: It's a crowded bakery with zero charm, and if you sit outside -- where more than half of the tables are located -- you're assaulted by the noise and fumes of El Camino.
Second, the service: Our waitress kept us waiting for 10+ minutes without so much as a hello (she was taking care of at least 10 tables, alone, so I suppose the fact that we got served at all is a miracle). After she dumped the check while we were still eating -- never asking if we needed anything -- she never came back; we had to walk inside to pay.
Third, the food: Gross. Nuclear-yellow hollandaise from a mix. Manky corned-beef hash (and trust me, I actually like the canned stuff. This was beyond inedible). Un-toasted English muffins. Heinz ketchup bottles refilled with a watery, off-brand imitation. Overcooked poached eggs, drowning in a tepid pool of water. Even after I drained them, they were inedibly vinegary. And, I'm sorry, you're out of staples like mushrooms and home-fries at 10am on a Sunday morning? Get real. Send the dishwasher to Safeway, already.
At least it was cheap-ish. I can't imagine how disappointed I'd have been if we'd waited 20 minutes for a table. As we left, the line was forming... unbelievable.
